Students and Parents Can Help Outstanding Teachers Get the Recognition They Deserve with the Teachers on the Rise Program

This school year students and parents can recognize outstanding teachers through the Teachers On The Rise program. This program recognizes educators who go above and beyond in their commitment to shaping the minds and futures of their students, particularly as they begin another year of learning and growth. As the new school year begins, Mrs Baird’s Bread and Market Street Supermarkets are excited to bring its Teachers On The Rise program to North Texas for its fourth year. Teachers On The Rise is a heartfelt initiative to honor the unsung heroes of our communities.

Teachers play a pivotal role in our society, often going unnoticed despite their tireless efforts and dedication. The Teachers on the Rise program seeks to change that by shining a spotlight on exceptional teachers who make a significant impact in their classrooms and communities. By acknowledging these educators, Mrs Baird’s and Market Street Supermarkets hope to inspire others to follow in their footsteps and elevate the standard of education across North Texas.

How the Program Works

The nomination process is straightforward and community-driven. Students and parents are encouraged to nominate deserving teachers, past or present, who have made a positive difference in their lives. Nominations can be submitted online at www.NorthTexasTOTR.com, where participants share stories and experiences that highlight the teacher’s extraordinary contributions. A tip—please be as detailed as possible!

Each month, judges review the nominations and select three outstanding teachers to be honored—one elementary, one middle school and one high school teacher. These teachers receive a special recognition package, which includes a $100 American Express gift card from Mrs Baird’s Bread, a $100 Market Street Supermarkets gift card, a certificate and a basket of goodies from Mrs Baird’s. There’s also a great incentive for students to nominate their teachers. All students who nominate a winning teacher receives a $50 American Express gift card!

The program is open to most all school districts in the North DFW Metroplex including: Allen, Coppell, Frisco, Lewisville, Lovejoy, McKinney, Plano, Prosper and Celina.

A Community Effort

The success of the Teachers on the Rise program relies heavily on community participation. By encouraging students and parents to nominate outstanding teachers, the program fosters a culture of appreciation and recognition within the community. This collaborative effort not only highlights the importance of teachers but also strengthens the bond between schools and their communities.

As the Teachers on the Rise program continues to grow, Mrs Baird’s and Market Street Supermarkets remain committed to celebrating the remarkable contributions of North Texas educators.

The nomination portal to the 2024-2025 school year is now open. Nominate your favorite teachers today at www.NorthTexasTOTR.com. Join us in celebrating the incredible educators who make North Texas a better place to live, learn, and grow, especially as we begin another exciting and promising school year.
