The Children’s Advocacy Center for Denton County is headed into its 18th Annual Golf Tournament presented by DATCU at Lantana Golf Club on Thursday, September 12, 2013. The 8 a.m. shotgun start is already sold out but spots are still open for the 2 p.m. shotgun start.

This year’s tournament will feature numerous contests including: a chance to win a new car at the Hole-in-One sponsored by James Wood or a chance for the weekend use of a new Lexus at the Closest-to-the-Pin sponsored by Park Place Lexus-Grapevine. Morning tournament registration begins at 6:30 a.m. with breakfast catered by Fuzzy’s Taco Shop and afternoon registration begins at 12:30 p.m. with lunch catered by McAlister’s Deli. Both flights feature a post-tournament awards lunch/dinner respectively.

Entry fee is $150 per person or $600 per foursome. Sponsors for this year’s tournament include DATCU, NewGround, Freedom Title, Merrill Lynch Wealth Management, Circle R Ranch, CW2 Christopher Chabot Martin Memorial Scholarship, Texas New Mexico Power and more.

All proceeds from the tournament support the Children’s Advocacy Center for Denton County. The center provides free services to child victims of sexual abuse and severe physical abuse and their non-offending family members. CACDC is non-profit that consolidates law enforcement, Child Protective Services, Denton County District Attorney’s Office, prosecutors, therapists, nurses and other professionals to work on the investigation, treatment and prosecution of severe child abuse cases.

Registration and sponsorship opportunities are still available. For additional information or to volunteer on the golf committee, please call (972) 317-2818, ext. 244 or visit www.cacdc.org
