Fundraise for Puerto Rico/Eagle Scout Project

This past summer, multiple natural disasters have devastated the United States in Texas, Louisiana, Florida, and Puerto Rico. Hurricane Irma and Harvey have caused an extreme amount of damage, most notable the city of Houston and Puerto Rico.

Since the disasters, there has been an incredible amount of support given from charities, celebrities, and people of all sorts who want to help the people of these cities who have lost everything.

Most recently, Hurricane Irma caused an extreme amount of damage to Puerto Rico. Hurricane Irma carved a merciless path of destruction through the Caribbean, killing 12 people, leaving thousands of others homeless and plunging more than 1 million residents of Puerto Rico into darkness. Some estimates say that the storm could cost Puerto Rico $45 billion to $90 billion in infrastructure repair.

The reason for our fundraiser is to aid the citizens of Puerto Rico to the best of our capability. Me and my friend, Steven Beard, decided that our Eagle Scout projects would be best purposed towards helping the relief cause.

With this money,  buy various tools with the purpose of rebuilding homes, public places, etc. The money raised will be used to purchase tools and equipment that will be housed in storage crates provided to us by an organization called "Light Up Puerto Rico" These crates primarily serve the most utility by the fact that these are reusable items that can be hard to get a hold of during a disaster.  WIth the money, we will directly ship tools such as, Hammer Drills, Compressors, Nail Guns, and Skill Saws. The rebuilding of Puerto Rico will be a long process, and we believe that these tools will provide much utility for the years of rebuilding to come.

With this donation money, we would be able to send tools to Puerto Rico, and potentially spend time in the area to help rebuild areas.

As well, this project is supported by the organization "Light Up Puerto Rico." We are working directly with the charity who will help distribute and administer the tools

We need funds as soon as possible. We don't have too much time to fund raise. We would appreciate ANY donations.

Please consider donating. Puerto Rico needs our help.
