North Texas Slips Past Rice 26-18 to Become Bowl-Eligible on Halloween

The North Texas Mean Green (6-3, 4-1 Conference USA) wins its fourth conference game over the Rice Owls (8-1, 4-1 Conference USA) in a game played Thursday, October 31 at Apogee Stadium in Denton. The Mean Green is bowl-eligible for the first time in nine seasons.

The Mean Green collected a sixth victory in front of a national television audience by scoring on offense, special teams and with a physical defense. The Mean Green’s next home game will be on Saturday, November 9 against UT El Paso.
