Woven Health to Open Second Clinic in Carrollton Regional Medical Center
Metrocrest Hospital Authority to Provide Free Space
Carrollton, Texas (May 20, 2021) – In an effort to save lives and enhance the health of underserved communities, Woven Health is opening a second clinic location at Carrollton Regional Medical Center with space provided at no cost by the Metrocrest Hospital Authority (MHA).
The 1,700-square-foot full-service adult clinic will provide primary healthcare services for low- and moderate uninsured Carrollton residents who cannot afford health care and live in Carrollton, Texas. The clinic was allocated funding from the City of Carrollton’s Community Development Block Grant CARES Act (CDBG-CV) fund to assist low-to-moderate income Carrollton residents impacted by COVID-19.
“At Woven Health, we believe healthy lives build healthy communities, and especially now with the Pandemic, we are excited to offer quality, comprehensive healthcare to those who need it most but cannot afford it in Carrollton,” explains Lisa Rigby, Executive Director, Woven Health.
“Partnering with Metrocrest Hospital Authority and the City of Carrollton, we believe everyone deserves this type of excellent quality of care.”

While COVID-19 continues to threaten North Texas, Woven Health’s new clinic will help address this need, offering COVID screenings and vaccines. Additionally, the clinic will provide access to a variety of services to low-income residents, including primary care, women’s health services, depression and anxiety treatment, and disease prevention services, together with healthy lifestyle education, coaching and events. When the second clinic opens in April 2021, Woven Health will serve Carrollton residents that meet low to moderate-income eligibility requirements.
Founded in 1992 by two local churches, the clinic was originally established because individuals saw an urgent need for healthcare for the uninsured and under-insured in the community. In 1995, MHA donated space for the original location at Dallas Medical Center for the clinic, where the first clinic’s site is located today. Today, MHA is generously providing space for Woven Health’s Carrollton location.
