Sip and savor the beginning of fall at the Annual Art & Wine Walk at the Castle Hills Village Shops. The FREE event features the work of local artists along with several Village Shops retailers offering free wine tasting (ID required) at their shops and restaurants. The event, on Thursday, September 15, from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m., will also feature a strolling violinist, caricature artist and a raffle. The Castle Hills Village Shops is located at 2560 King Arthur Blvd. at Lady of the Lake Blvd. in the Castle Hills community.
This year’s collection of artworks includes homemade holiday wreaths, stunning hand-carved cutting boards, handmade jewelry and accessories, handmade bags, original paintings, charcoal illustrations, hand-painted wine bottles, photography and more.
The Castle Hills Village Shops is a charming neighborhood destination with a number of unique retailers. Before the Art & Wine Walk, pop into PI.E 3.14 Everyday Eatery for a charcuterie board and a specialty cocktail like the Lipstick & Rouge (Aperol, prosecco, Luxardo amaretto and lemon). Or enjoy a cup of tea and an Earl Grey and Lavender Scone at The London Baker, our Food Network-featured neighborhood bakery. View art from local artists displaying their works in the outdoor plaza and pop into retailers like Estilo, a boutique featuring accessories, clothing and home décor designed by women artists. Afterward, head over to Ramen Izakaya Akira, considered one of the top seven ramen restaurants in DFW, T.B.D. Kitchen for a margarita and some street tacos, or The Grind Burger Bar for craft beer and sweet potato fries.
The Village Shops is the ideal location for the Art & Wine Walk. In addition to its retailers, it also features tree-shaded walkways, gardens and numerous water features, including the very popular interactive water fountain and shaded outdoor seating.
