Flower Mound, TX – Flower Mound Krav Maga Owner and Lead Instructor, Bill Mischke, teaches college and pre-college students self defense using real-world scenarios. Offered four times a week, these classes focus on topics like situational awareness, conflict de-escalation, active shooter drills, and realistic self defense skills.
“Too often we send our teenagers off to college and into the world with little or no personal safety or self defense training,” said Mischke. “College campuses are not in protective bubbles where young men and women are safe. There are very real dangers lurking in and around any campus.”
Mischke stated that students need to learn how to be aware of their surroundings; to pick up on threats before they become attacks; and to make sure they understand how to defend themselves in the event of a dangerous situation.
Trained through the Krav Maga Association (KMA), Bill Mischke is an Expert Level 2 Certified Instructor. He is currently the only Expert Level KMA Instructor in Denton County and one of only two Expert Level KMA Instructors in the North Texas area. Mischke is also a Certified Instructor of Active Shooter Response, in addition to many other self defense certifications.
“We take safety very seriously,” said Mischke. “Not only do we prepare our students for how to react during threatening encounters, we also discuss how to evaluate situations to determine the safest course of action. That doesn’t always mean fighting.”
The “Summer College Student Self Defense Special” at Flower Mound Krav Maga offers students training all summer, with unlimited classes, for $399. No uniforms or contract are required.
