Castle Hills keeps with tradition this holiday season with the annual Castle Hills Outreach Turkey Trot and Holiday in The Plaza & Tree Lighting.  Both events will be held at Castle Hills Village Shops located at 2560 King Arthur Blvd. at Lady of the Lake in Castle Hills neighborhood.  Everyone is welcome!

November 27, Castle Hills Turkey Trot, 8 a.m.: Get in some exercise before you eat Thanksgiving dinner and sit down to watch the big game at the annual Castle Hills Turkey Trot 5K Run/Walk, sponsored by Castle Hills Outreach.  The event is for the whole family, so bring your strollers and leashed dogs.  Registration is $25 per person, children four and under are free. November 29, Holiday in the Plaza & Tree Lighting, 4-7 p.m.:  Bring the entire family for a full afternoon of holiday activities including: cookie decorating, arts and crafts, face painting, rock climbing, a petting zoo, reindeer display, games, inflatable, a Christmas monkey and – of course—Santa and his sleigh.  Also part of the event is music by Rhythm & Beards, a special performance by the Hebron High School Choir, carriage rides and a trackless train.  After enjoying the activities, stay to see the debut of a new 66-foot tree.  Free hot chocolate while supplies last and food for purchase will also be available.
