Texas’s 2014 Sales Tax Holiday is Friday, Saturday and Sunday, August 8, 9 and 10. Vista Ridge Mall has extended shopping hours for all three days so individuals can take advantage of the savings and stock up on needed items. Most clothing, footwear, school supplies and backpacks priced under $100 are exempt from sales and use taxes, allowing shoppers to save about $8 on every $100 spent.

As in previous years, lay-away plans can be used to take advantage of the tax-free savings. For more information about the Sales Tax Holiday, visit http://www.window.state.tx.us/taxinfo/taxpubs/taxholiday/d/.

Additionally, area schools participating in Vista Ridge Mall’s A+ Rewards, the shopping center’s community program that awards $20,000 in cash to participating schools over the course of a school year, are advised that receipts from the Sales Tax Holiday weekend can be submitted for points. Registration for the 2014-15 school year is now open for public and private schools in the Coppell and Lewisville school districts. Applications are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information or to register for Vista Ridge Mall’s A+ Rewards program, contact Saundra David at saundra.david@rouseproperties.com.

Shoppers are advised that department stores, restaurants, Cinemark and entertainment venues at the shopping centers may observe different hours. Please call individual stores, restaurants or entertainment venues for hours.
