2017 Castle Hills Spring Concert Series Opens with Big City Outlaws

Castle Hills residents and neighbors are invited to dust off their cowboy boots at the Castle Hills Village Shops when Big City Outlaws takes the stage on Saturday, May 13, as part of the 2017 Castle Hills Spring Concert Series. This year’s concert series is presented by the City of Lewisville, in partnership with Castle Hills developer Bright Realty. The FREE concerts take place at the Castle Hills Village Shops, located at 2540 King Arthur Boulevard in the master-planned Castle Hills community in Lewisville.

Big City Outlaws, a country rock party band, opens the concert series with their rockin’ country western music. The line-up will include classics from old school favorites like Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson to current Top 40 hits from Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert, Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan. Rock hits from Journey, Poison and Bon Jovi are also on the playlist.

The Big City Outlaws concert is sponsored by Grande Communications, local cable and internet provider for Castle Hills residents. Come early to reserve your spot in front of the main stage built for the event on Lady of the Lake. Spread out on blankets and in lawn chairs with the whole family. Family-friendly activities such as bounce houses, carnival games and prizes, face painters and a black light photo booth start at 6:30 p.m. Big City Outlaws will take the stage from 8 to 9:30 p.m.

Guests can enjoy a pre-concert meal or post-concert cocktail at one of several restaurants at the Village Shops. PI.E 3.14 Everyday Eatery, open until 10 p.m. for food and later for drinks, specializes in signature pizzas and a one-of-a-kind drink menu. T.B.D. Kitchen, open until 11 p.m. for food and later for drinks, has great tacos and burritos, as well as its daily “Daisy,” the eatery’s specialty cocktail.  Grab some fresh sushi and sashimi at Kanzi Sushi & Hibachi until 10 p.m. or some Chinese stir-fry and spring rolls at Z’s Wok until 10:30 p.m. For a sweet post-concert treat, visit Froyo Smoo-licious, open until 10 p.m.

Also joining the event is Freebirds, which has a nearby location at Castle Hills Marketplace. The Freebirds food truck will be parked near the main stage serving steak burritos, nachos, street tacos and tostadas. Ms. Piggy’s food truck will serve gumbo, red beans & rice, chicken fingers, corn dogs and funnel cakes.

The 2017 Castle Hills Spring Concert Series also features a Saturday, June 10, concert with The Boy Band Night, a boy band cover band, sponsored by Kroger.
