Tomorrow is one of our nation's greatest unofficial holidays... National Donut Day! Fun fact: the holiday was originally created in the 1930s by the Chicago Salvation Army to honor the women who served donuts to WWI soldiers. Now, we just use it as an excuse to ingest an exorbitant (but delightful) amount of sugar early in the day.

This famous chain will be delivering 60 dozen donuts to the Dallas Police Department, as well as offering free donuts to any customer who purchases a beverage. Sweet, right? Just visit any Dunkin' Donuts in the DFW area, or any of the ones across the country. 

Krispy Creme

Rise Biscuits and Donuts 

This extremely popular chain is growing, and there's now a Rise store in Allen! If you purchase donuts there this Friday, Rise will donate 10% of sales to the Salvation Army. Plus, the first 50 people in line will receive free donuts, so be sure to head over there early! 

Hypnotic Donuts

Located in Dallas and Denton, this shop is giving away free swag to lucky winners on Friday. Random donut boxes will be marked for gift cards and free t-shirts. Even if you don't win, you'll still get to enjoy their delicious donuts, so it's really a win no matter what. 

National Donut Day Celebration at the Omni Hotel
