Castle Hills keeps with tradition this holiday season with the Castle Hills Turkey Trot and Holiday in The Plaza & Tree Lighting. All events take place in the Castle Hills Village Shops Plaza, a one-acre-plus site featuring tree-shaded walkways, gardens, and numerous water features, including the very popular interactive water fountain, a permanent stage and outdoor seating. The plaza is located at 2560 King Arthur Blvd. at Lady of the Lake in the Castle Hills neighborhood. Everyone is welcome!

Thursday, November 26, Castle Hills Turkey Trot, 8 am: Get in some exercise before you eat Thanksgiving dinner at the 3rd annual Castle Hills Turkey Trot 5K Run/Walk. The event is for the whole family, so bring your strollers and leashed dogs. Registration is $30 per person, children ages four and under are free. Visit www.riverstoneministry.com to register. Proceeds benefit Riverstone Ministry’s Outreach Program.
Saturday, November 28, FREE Holiday in the Plaza & Tree Lighting, 4-7 pm: Bring the entire family and invite friends for a full afternoon of holiday activities including: photos with Santa and his sleigh, a Christmas monkey, face painting, a petting zoo, games and inflatables, cookie decorating by I Like Big Bundts, and arts and crafts by The Enchanted Artist. Free Santa photos will be available, courtesy of Kim Ortiz Photography. Also part of the event is music by the Dallas String Quartet, a special performance by the Hebron High School Choir, carriage rides and a trackless train. After enjoying the activities, stay to see Santa light 60-foot tree. Free hot chocolate while supplies last. The event is FREE. Food will be available for purchase. Make sure to stop by the registration table for a chance to win a $100 gift card to Williams-Sonoma.
