LakeCities Ballet Theatre will present its 30th Anniversary Gala performances, “Treasures: 30 Years of Dance,” on April 25-26 at the Medical Center of Lewisville Grand Theater.

Performances start at 7:30 p.m. both dates. Tickets are $15 per person. Advance tickets can be purchased at www.lakecitiesballet.org or by calling 972.317.7987.

Past meets present as LakeCities Ballet presents favorite works performed during the past 30 year, with choreography by Artistic Director Kelly Lannin, Shanon Tate and Fabiana Fadlala-Poulis, in addition to exciting new works by new faculty members Deborah Weaver and Shannon Beacham.  Featured on the program is Carmina Burana, choreographed by Lannin.

The first half of the performance will include dances that highlight current choreographic styles, as well as dances that revisit previous LakeCities Ballet performances danced by both current members and returning LBT alumni.  Featured dances include Satanella and Pas de Deux fromLe Corsaire, along with new works by choreographers Beacham, Weaver and Tate. A surprise choreographic event will be revealed during the performance.

After the intermission, audiences will be treated to a grand performance of Carmina Burana.  This favorite of Lannin is a masterful example of why LBT has met with such success during the past 30 years and highlights her elegant choreographic style. The dance will include both current company members and returning alumni who previously performed this beautiful work with LBT.
