The annual Castle Hills 4th of July Freedom Festival is all about family fun with lots of kids’ activities, live music, food trucks and, of course, one of the best fireworks shows in the area! The event takes place at the Castle Hills Village Shops, a one-acre-plus site featuring tree-shaded walkways, gardens and numerous water features, including the very popular interactive water fountain, a permanent stage and shaded outdoor seating. The plaza is located at 2560 King Arthur Blvd. at Lady of the Lake in the Castle Hills neighborhood. Everyone is welcome!
The Freedom Festival starts at 5:00 p.m. and the Village Shops will be buzzing with activity around the Plaza with a DJ spinning tunes to keep everyone entertained. This year’s activities include: a euro bungee, a water slide, two mobile gaming units, a giant inflatable obstacle course, bounce houses, carnival games and prizes, as well as face painters, balloon artists, and arts & crafts by The Enchanted Artist. Don’t forget to stop by the photo booth for a free photograph with your friends or family! There’s a chance to win a $100 gift card at the registration tents. Concessions will be in the plaza and available for purchase from many of the area’s favorite food trucks.
The finale of the evening is the fireworks display, sponsored by Bright Realty, beginning at approximately 9:30. Get there early to get the best seats. Don’t forget to bring blankets, chairs and coolers.
Early in the day, residents are invited to join the neighborhood parade. The parade starts at 9 a.m. with Polser Elementary school and ends at the Castle Hills Village Shops. Residents can take part by decorating their golf carts, wagons, bikes, and strollers for the parade.
The Castle Hills 4th of July Freedom Festival is FREE.
